 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  Governors of the All Progressives Congress on Thursday  passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Tinubu and endorsed him as the party’s candidate in 2027. 

The motion was moved by the chairman of the APC Governors Forum, Hope Uzodimma. Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State seconded the motion, which got the resounding support of the thousands of party faithful attending the APC summit at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
