 France records first Ebola case in doctor returning from DR Congo France confirmed its first imported Ebola case after a humanitarian doctor returned from a mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Health Ministry said Wednesday, Anadolu Agency reported. The patient, who had returned from an area where the virus is circulating in Congo, was immediately admitted to a specialised healthcare facility and is in stable condition, the ministry said in a statement. “All precautionary measures, including the patient's isolation, were taken upon his arrival in the country,” it added, saying the transfer to hospital was carried out under secure conditions to prevent any risk of contamination. French health authorities said a full epidemiological investigation is underway to identify people who may have been in contact with the patient.  DEMOCRACY DAY: ANAMBRA POLICE INITIATES A WALK FOR SAFETY AND CAMPAIGN AGAINST KIDNAPPING AND VIOLENT CRIMES IN THE STATE.


_Continues to leverage on Community support through the Platform of the State Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC)_


The Anambra State Police Command today 12th June, 2025 initiated a Walk for Safety and led a Campaign Against Kidnapping and other Violent Crimes by leveraging on the community support under the platform of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC). The Walk aims to promote peace and combat violent crimes in the State. 


During the Walk initiative at the Area Command in Nnewi, Nkwo Triangle, Nwafor Orizu Roundabout, First Bank Junction all in Nnewi, and Nnobi Junction the importance of collaboration in maintaining peace and security was highlighted. It also raised awareness about the impact of violent crimes, the need to foster a culture of peace and non-violence and strengthen the  relationships between the Police and the community. 


This initiative can help to build trust, encourage community engagement, thereby contribute to a safer environment in the State.
