 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  Italy Crushes Nigeria 4-0 to End Flamingos’ U-17 World Cup Dream


Nigeria’s Flamingos crashed out of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup on Tuesday, suffering a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Italy in the Round of 16 at the Mohammed VI Football Academy.


The Azzurrine dominated from the start, breaking the deadlock in the 45th minute through Anna Copelli’s clinical finish just before halftime.


Italy doubled their advantage early in the second half when Caterina Venturelli struck in the 58th minute. Giulia Robino piled on the misery five minutes later with a 63rd-minute goal that effectively ended Nigeria’s hopes.


Rachele Giudici sealed the rout in stoppage time, scoring in the 92nd minute to complete a comprehensive victory.


The heavy loss ends Nigeria’s campaign in the knockout stage, as Italy advances to the quarterfinals.
