Yemen fighting pushes nearly 3,000 to Djibouti in less than a week: UN    Nearly 3,000 people have fled Yemen for Djibouti in less than a week as escalating violence drives growing displacement within the country and across its borders, the UN refugee agency said Friday. “Refugees continue to arrive by boat through Obock, Khor Angar, Moulhoule and Godoria after difficult journeys in small vessels,” UNHCR representative in Djibouti Sandrine Desamours told reporters in Geneva, Anadolu Agency reported. More than half of those crossing the Bab el-Mandeb Strait are women and children, while some families have been displaced for a second time after previously fleeing Yemen during the 2015 crisis and later returning. UNHCR is preparing for at least 10,000 new arrivals but warned that capacity is rapidly diminishing. A SWEET SENIOR COUPLE JUST SAID “I DO” IN THE MOST PERFECT PLACE IMAGINABLE: THE YMCA SWIMMING POOL WHERE THEY FIRST MET!. (PHOTO).

A sweet senior couple just said “I do” in the most perfect place imaginable: the YMCA swimming pool where they first met!

Barbara (78) and Ron (81) from Clearwater, Florida, locked eyes five years ago during water aerobics class. What started with smiles and friendly chatter between exercises turned into coffee dates, then love. Last Valentine’s Day, Ron proposed right there in the shallow end with a waterproof ring.

This weekend, they returned to that very same pool to get married. Waist-deep in water, surrounded by 60 guests in swimsuits and leis, their classmates cheering, and their original instructor officiating, they exchanged vows while gently floating with pool noodles.

The bride glowed in a white swimsuit with a lace cover-up and waterproof veil; the groom looked dapper in swim trunks and a bow tie.

“We met in the water, fell in love in the water, so we got married in the water,” Barbara said with a big smile.

The YMCA happily opened the pool for the celebration, and everyone partied with splashes and poolside cake afterward.

Now the newlyweds are off on a seniors’ cruise, already excited for more water aerobics together.

Love really does come full circle! 🏊‍♀️💕🏊‍♂️
