 The Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO), yesterday, sealed off some buildings/properties across the state over different environmental infractions. They are; * A property on 34, Adeniji Adele, Lagos Island for deliberate discharge of raw sewage into the public drain causing offensive odour and sewage flowing in the community, constituting public nuisance, environmental pollution and endangering human life. * A block of Shops along Powerline Road, Meiran, Alimosho, for the illegal construction and operation of unsanitary toilet facility on a road setback without a permit, constituting public nuisance, environmental pollution and endangering human life. * A three-storey building at 38, Adeniji Adele Street, Lagos Island for deliberate discharge of raw sewage into the public drain. * A building at H29, House of Jesus Street, Langbasa, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, for the deliberate discharge of raw sewage into the public drains. Today, Tuesday, 4th November 2025, marks another significant milestone in the journey of visionary leadership and service to our great nation, as the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has officially confirmed Dr. Musa Babayo (Talban Katagum) as the Chairman of the Board of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).


This well deserved confirmation is not only a recognition of his outstanding track record of integrity, competence, and dedication to national development, but also a reflection of the confidence that the government and the people of Nigeria have in his ability to deliver results.


Dr. Musa Babayo (Talban Katagum) has, over the years, distinguished himself as a man of wisdom, discipline, and humility a technocrat deeply committed to the ideals of good governance, transparency, and accountability. His wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors stands as a testament to his capacity to reposition FERMA for greater efficiency and impact.


As the Chairman of FERMA, Dr. Babayo is expected to bring renewed energy and purposeful leadership to the critical task of maintaining and improving Nigeria’s road infrastructure, a key driver of economic growth, national integration, and social development. His appointment couldn’t have come at a better time, as Nigerians yearn for safer, more durable, and more accessible road networks across the country.
