Terrifying new dashcam footage shows moment doomed NBC helicopter falls out of the sky The terrifying moment an NBC helicopter fell out of the sky and plunged into the ground near where an SUV had slammed into a Metro bus was caught on dashcam. The video, obtained by KTLA, shows the helicopter descending, caught from afar on the vehicle camera of Yera Valencia. She said: “I downloaded the video of my dashcam. It’s a little dot on the video. It’s a crisp video and it just goes down.” She added: “God, it’s so close, it could have happened to anyone. My parents walk down the street.” The two back-to-back Tuesday night crashes resulted in five deaths — two involving the bus and SUV, and three as a result of the chopper going down, killing reporter Eliana Moreno, pilot George Marciniw and pedestrian Edy Gutierrez Mejia.

EPSTEIN FILES BILL INCLUDES EXCEPTIONS THAT MAY ALTER WHAT IS RELEASED AND WHEN. (PHOTO).

Epstein files bill includes exceptions that may alter what is released and when

WASHINGTON - Even though Congress has overwhelmingly approved a bill requiring the Justice Department to release its files on convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, significant questions remain about when—or if—the public will see the documents and how complete they will be, even if President Donald Trump signs the legislation into law.

Attorney General Pam Bondi said Wednesday that the department has already provided more than 33,000 Epstein-related documents to Congress and pledged to continue “maximum transparency” while following the law. Speaking at an unrelated press conference with FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, Bondi emphasized that the Justice Department will comply with legal requirements while protecting victims’ privacy.

The bill allows several exceptions that could delay or limit what is made public. It requires the department to release all unclassified records, communications, and investigative materials related to Epstein within 30 days of the president signing the measure. If Trump signs the bill on Wednesday, that deadline would fall on Dec. 19.

However, the legislation permits the Justice Department to withhold or redact information, including the identities and personal or medical files of Epstein’s victims. Blanche noted that these protections, which exist in all cases, are intended to safeguard victims while complying with the law. House Speaker Mike Johnson also expressed concern that the bill does not go far enough to shield victims from being identified.

Other exemptions include material that would constitute an unwarranted invasion of privacy or that contains depictions of child sexual abuse. Yet the bill explicitly forbids withholding or redacting records for reasons of embarrassment, reputational harm, or political sensitivity, including for government officials, public figures, or foreign dignitaries.

The Attorney General may also delay disclosure of records if releasing them would jeopardize an active federal investigation or ongoing prosecution, though such withholdings must be narrowly focused and temporary. The department is required to provide justifications for any redacted or withheld material within 15 days of the public release. This could include the new investigation into possible Epstein connections to top Democrats, which Bondi said is ongoing following directives from Trump.

Bondi emphasized that any new leads will be pursued and encouraged victims to come forward, citing “new information” that has emerged since her July review, which previously indicated no additional investigations were necessary. Trump, who initially opposed the congressional vote to release the files, later reversed his position, adding that the House “can have whatever they are legally entitled to.”
