 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school.  MDGIF To Build 500 CNG Refuelling Stations Across Nigeria In Next 3 Years


In Line With Federal Government Resolve at Deepening Compressed Natural Gas Utilization, The Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund (MDGIF) has concluded discussion with a leading Chinese Manufacturer to make available 500 CNG refuelling stations across Nigeria for the next 3 years.


A statement by the Executive Director of MDGIF, Oluwole Adama, said the discussion  centred on the creation of a Federal government-backed Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) promoted by MDGIF, and its Investment Partners.

Under the agreement, Compressed Natural Gas Auto Mobility Infrastructure Company , which will be used to deploy 500 integrated CNG refuelling stations, develop Liquefied

Compressed Natural Gas (LCNG), gas supply infrastructure, and provide CNG and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) transportation trucks forming a virtual pipeline across all states nationwide.

The Statement further noted that the project will help ease the long queues currently being experienced at existing CNG filling stations by expanding access to refuelling points and ensuring consistent supply through improved logistics and distribution systems.
