 FRSC CONFIRMS FATAL CRASH THAT KILLED 12 VICTIMS AT GADA BIYU ALONG YANGOJI–ABUJA CORRIDOR The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has confirmed a fatal multiple vehicle road traffic crash that claimed twelve lives at about 1145hrs on Sunday, 11 January 2026, at Gada Biyu, along the Yangoji–Abuja (YGJ–ABJ) corridor. According to a statement signed by the Corps Public Education Officer, Segun Ogungbemide, The crash involved four vehicles: one commercial trailer conveying coal, one commercial bus, and two commercial cars.  Preliminary investigations revealed that the incident could have been caused by speed violation and dangerous driving which led to loss of control. Further information gathered indicated that the truck driver was driving at an excessive speed beyond the legally prescribed limit for the corridor, lost control, and crashed into already parked vehicles, triggering the fatal collision. Post 74th Miss Universe Competition: Miss Universe Cote d'Ivoire and Miss Universe 2025 4th Runner Up, Olivia YACE renounces her title of Miss Universe Africa & Oceania 👏 


According to her National Org.,  The COMICI (Miss CĂ´te d'Ivoire Committee) the holder of the Miss Universe license regrets to announce the withdrawal of its representative Olivia YACE Miss CĂ´te d'Ivoire 2021 for personal convenience of her electoral mandates with Miss Universe obtained at the end of the 74th edition of the International Miss competition UNIVERSE to be held on November 21, 2025 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok.


Consequently, the COMICI formally informs the Miss Universe organization of the withdrawal of the CĂ´te d'Ivoire candidate from any title and mandate emanating from this organization.


Olivia YACE renounces her title of Miss Universe Africa & Oceania as of today.

Consequently, COMICI officially informs the Miss Universe organization of the withdrawal of the Ivorian candidate from all titles and mandates issued by this organization.


Olivia YACE therefore relinquishes her title of Miss Universe Africa & Oceania, effective immediately.


Miss Olivia YACE, Miss Universe Africa & Oceania 2025, will formally return her Africa & Oceania sash to the organization to ensure that no one is unaware of this and to attest to this joint decision.

This is great news. She shouldn't have accepted it in the first place. Veena and Ahtisa were offered Miss Universe Asia and they both rejected the title. Miss Universe organization should not ride on her popularity. I hope she considers going for Miss Supranational next year. She would be appreciated there.
