Yemen fighting pushes nearly 3,000 to Djibouti in less than a week: UN    Nearly 3,000 people have fled Yemen for Djibouti in less than a week as escalating violence drives growing displacement within the country and across its borders, the UN refugee agency said Friday. “Refugees continue to arrive by boat through Obock, Khor Angar, Moulhoule and Godoria after difficult journeys in small vessels,” UNHCR representative in Djibouti Sandrine Desamours told reporters in Geneva, Anadolu Agency reported. More than half of those crossing the Bab el-Mandeb Strait are women and children, while some families have been displaced for a second time after previously fleeing Yemen during the 2015 crisis and later returning. UNHCR is preparing for at least 10,000 new arrivals but warned that capacity is rapidly diminishing. Mother of BBN season 10 winner, Ìmísí, publicly debunks claims of sending her out at 12


A video shared on Instagram has captured the mother of Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi, addressing the claims her daughter made during and after the show about her childhood.


In the video, the mother expressed her shock over Imisi’s statement that she was sent out of the house at age 12. She said she had no memory of such an incident and insisted it never happened.


She explained that she also contacted her own mother — Imisi’s grandmother — as well as her sister, and said both of them confirmed they had no knowledge of any situation where Imisi was allegedly thrown out


The mother further reacted to Imisi’s claims of being raped while growing up. She stated that she had no idea when or how it happened and asked Imisi to publicly clarify the timeline.


She added that the statements made about her have caused people to insult and tag her as a bad mother whenever she goes out, noting that the backlash has been overwhelming.
