NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court.  At least 8 dead, dozens injured after bus collides with freight train and catches fire in Bangkok

At least eight people are dead and about 35 others are injured after a public bus collided with a freight train in Bangkok on Saturday, triggering a fire that engulfed the bus and spread to nearby vehicles.

The crash occurred around 3:40 p.m. local time near Makkasan train station in central Bangkok. Authorities said the bus appeared to become trapped at a rail crossing after safety barriers came down, before being struck by an oncoming freight train. The impact caused the train to continue forward, dragging nearby vehicles before the bus burst into flames.

Witness videos shared on social media showed additional motorcycles and riders being thrown onto the roadway during the collision. Firefighters later brought the blaze under control.

Officials said all confirmed fatalities were found on the bus, though the total number of passengers has not yet been determined. Deputy Transport Minister Siripong Angkasakulkiat said recovery efforts were ongoing as investigators worked to determine the cause of the crash.

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has ordered a full investigation into the incident, according to his office.
