 TROOPS OF OPERATION FANSAN YAMMA ARREST TERRORIST KINGPIN, INTERCEPT AMMUNITION COURIER, OTHERS IN KADUNA STATE Troops of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA (JTF NW OPFY) arrested a suspected terrorists, intercepted ammunition courier and apprehended a suspected terrorist logistics supplier in separate operations in Kaduna State. In the early hours of 9 September 2026, troops of Sector 1 conducted a clearance operation at Dabar Dabo, a known hideout of terrorists in Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State. During the operation, troops arrested the terrorist kingpin and two other members of his syndicate at their hideout. The arrested suspects are currently in military custody for further investigation. 26-YEAR-OLD LAWYER D!ES AFTER CARDIAC ARREST DURING GHANA WORLD CUP CELEBRATION IN KUMASI 


A 26-year-old Ghanaian legal practitioner, Sara Araba Tettey, has reportedly passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest while celebrating Ghana’s victory over Panama in their opening FIFA World Cup match on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.


According to reports, the young lawyer and alumna of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology was watching the match with friends at a private hostel in Bomso, near the KNUST campus in Kumasi, when she suddenly collapsed during post-match celebrations.


She was quickly rushed to KNUST Hospital, where medical personnel performed CPR for about 45 minutes in an attempt to revive her. Despite intensive efforts, she was later pronounced dead.


Ms. Tettey, who had recently been called to the Ghana Bar and was working with O & A Legal Consult, has been described by colleagues and friends as intelligent, hardworking, and full of promise.


Her passing has left friends, classmates, and the legal community in deep shock, with many paying tribute to her potential and dedication to the profession.
