  ‘The View’ Announces Whoopi Goldberg Hiatus — Here’s Why She’s Stepping Away Whoopi Goldberg is temporarily stepping away from *The View* — but fans of the longtime moderator don’t need to worry about her leaving the show for good. Goldberg, 70, will be absent from most episodes of the ABC daytime talk show over the next two weeks while she films an upcoming movie for Netflix. The actress and comedian revealed the news during an appearance on *The View’s* companion podcast, *Behind the Table*, alongside executive producer Brian Teta.   Convicted First-Degree Murderer Now Runs NGO and Teaches at Penn Law, Praises Hamas and Hezbollah


A man convicted of first-degree m_rder now leads a major nonprofit and teaches at Penn Law, while publicly praising Hamas and Hezbollah.


Robert Saleem Holbrook was 16 when he acted as a lookout in a drug deal that turned into a robbery and m_rder.


Pennsylvania convicted him of first-degree m_rder as an accomplice and sentenced him to mandatory life without parole.


He served 27 years, including time in solitary, before being released in 2018 after the Supreme Court ruled against mandatory life sentences for juveniles.


Today, Holbrook is Executive Director of the Abolitionist Law Center and a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania’s Carey Law School.


On October 11, 2023, four days after the Hamas massacre, Holbrook wrote publicly that “Hamas and Hezbollah have proven to be the most rational actors in the Middle East” and that their objective of weakening Israel “is not fanaticism, it is strategy.”


A convicted first-degree m*rderer now holds positions of influence, draws a six-figure salary from a nonprofit, and teaches future lawyers while defending terrorist groups that slaughtered civilians.
