Only lazy Nigerians depend on markets for food — Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi The Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi, has come under criticism after saying Nigerians who rely on markets for food are “lazy”, as he urged citizens to embrace farming to tackle rising food prices. Nwaebonyi, who represents Ebonyi North Senatorial District, made the statement during an interview on The Mic On Podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye which was published on August 1 with clips going viral on Friday, while defending the economic policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Responding to concerns over food inflation and the rising cost of living, the senator said the government alone could not be held responsible for the prices of commodities in the market, arguing that citizens also had a role to play. “Do you expect Tinubu to moderate the prices of garri in the market?   Convicted First-Degree Murderer Now Runs NGO and Teaches at Penn Law, Praises Hamas and Hezbollah


A man convicted of first-degree m_rder now leads a major nonprofit and teaches at Penn Law, while publicly praising Hamas and Hezbollah.


Robert Saleem Holbrook was 16 when he acted as a lookout in a drug deal that turned into a robbery and m_rder.


Pennsylvania convicted him of first-degree m_rder as an accomplice and sentenced him to mandatory life without parole.


He served 27 years, including time in solitary, before being released in 2018 after the Supreme Court ruled against mandatory life sentences for juveniles.


Today, Holbrook is Executive Director of the Abolitionist Law Center and a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania’s Carey Law School.


On October 11, 2023, four days after the Hamas massacre, Holbrook wrote publicly that “Hamas and Hezbollah have proven to be the most rational actors in the Middle East” and that their objective of weakening Israel “is not fanaticism, it is strategy.”


A convicted first-degree m*rderer now holds positions of influence, draws a six-figure salary from a nonprofit, and teaches future lawyers while defending terrorist groups that slaughtered civilians.
