 COAS DEEPENS VETERAN ENGAGEMENT, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO TROOP WELFARE, ARMY TRANSFORMATION The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian Army to the welfare of serving and retired personnel, while advancing ongoing reforms aimed at building a more professional, adaptable, technologically enabled and combat-ready force.  APPEAL FOR THE RECOVERY OF STOLEN CATHOLIC WOMEN ORGANIZATION VEHICLE


Mrs. Anastasia Odochi Uchenna, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate for Aba Central State Constituency, has appealed to well-meaning Abians, Nigerians and all people of goodwill to assist in the recovery of a vehicle belonging to the Catholic Women Organization (CWO), Christ the King Cathedral, Aba, which has reportedly been stolen.


The vehicle, a Nissan Urvan bus, is distinctively marked with the inscriptions and emblem of the Catholic Women Organization, making it readily identifiable.

Mrs. Uchenna expressed concern over the incident and urged residents of Aba, Abia State and neighbouring states, particularly transport operators, mechanics, automobile dealers, community leaders and other members of the public, to remain vigilant and report any information that could assist in locating the vehicle.


She further called on the relevant security agencies, community vigilante groups and other appropriate authorities to assist in the recovery effort.


Mrs. Uchenna stressed that members of the public should not confront or engage anyone suspected of being in possession of the vehicle. Rather, any information should be promptly communicated to the appropriate security authorities or the Catholic Women Organization, Christ the King Cathedral, Aba.


She also appealed to those in the motor trade, including vehicle dealers, spare-parts dealers, mechanics and operators of motor parks, to be particularly alert to the vehicle and to report any suspicious sighting.
