 LSPHCB, SCI COLLABORATE TO STRENGTHEN CHILD IMMUNISATION The Lagos State Primary Health Care Board (LSPHCB) hosted a high-level delegation from Save the Children International (SCI), led by Country Director, Mr. Duncan Harvey, during an official courtesy visit to the board on Thursday, 17th September 2026. The visit comes as part of Save the Children’s global leadership tour in Nigeria to evaluate the impact of the BOOST Project (Better Opportunities for Optimal Services and Targeted Immunisation for Zero-Dose and Under-Immunised Children) and to align on strategic priorities for child health across the state. GEORGE CLOONEY,LAUNCHED AN INITIATIVE YESTERDAY,THAT WILL HELP TRACE SPONSORS OF WARS IN AFRICA.

               Yesterday monday,54 year old Hollywood actor George Clooney,launched an initiative to track down and help bring to justice those funding and profiting from Africa' deadliest conflicts,in a bid to fight corruption in war zones.George Clooney joined forces with US human rights activist John Prendergast in a project called The Sentry that aims to investigate the flow of money in and out of conflict zones and give policy makers the tools to take effective action.Using data collection,field research and analysis technology,the initiative plans to expose how conflict is financed and profits laundered,with a website that encourages people to anonymously submit leaks and tips. George Clooney said the aim is to ''Deny war profiteers the proceeds from their crimes.Real leverage for peace and human rights will come when the people who benefit from war will pay a price for the damage they cause''
