Anambra Government Reaffirms Mega City Drive, Demolishes Scores of Illegal Structures By Ruth Orji The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing regeneration drive and restoration of sanity across the state through enforcement exercises and demolition of illegal structures statewide. The exercise was led by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, on July 8, in line with the Physical Planning Law of Anambra State. Stating that it is no longer business as usual, the commissioner urged residents to take every notice received from the ministry seriously and comply promptly with planning regulations henceforth. He, however, said several eviction notices had been served but were taken with a pinch of salt, adding that demolitions followed because structures defaced the environment or obstructed pedestrian walkways. Today thursday,Malaysia Airlines said it was premature to speculate on the origin of aircraft debris that had washed up on La Reunion Island in the southern Indian Ocean east of Madagascar.No trace has been found of the MH370,a Boeing 777,which disappeared in March last year carrying 239 passengers and crew from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing,in what has become one of the greatest mysteries in aviation history.The statement said Malaysia Airlines was working with authorities to determine the origin of the debris.A U.S official said air safety investigators,including a Boeing air safety investigator,had identified the component as a ''Flaperon'',from the trailing edge of a 777 wing.One more photo below.
