 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. GOVERNOR AMBODE APPROVES THE EMPLOYMENT OF 1,200 TEACHERS YESTERDAY.

                      Lagos State Governor,Mr Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the employment of  1,200 primary school teachers in order to boost the manpower capacity in the State Primary education system.The Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education {SUBEB},Dr Ganiyu Oluremi Sopeyin,who disclosed this in his office today,said that the gesture was part of ongoing efforts of the current administration to improve the quality of education.He explained that successful candidates were selected from a transparent examination process of international standard in order to select the best candidates.While congratulation successful candidates who would be joining other teachers,the SUBEB boss urged them to reciprocate government's good gesture by putting in their best in the State Public Service.He said that the Service has a rewarding system which will compensate them for their hard work,dedication and honesty,hence the need for them to prove their mettle to be recognised.Successful candidates,who had earlier been sent SMS messages,were advised to collect their letter of employment from SUBEB office in Maryland.More photos below.
