 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. GOVERNOR AMBODE APPROVES THE EMPLOYMENT OF 1,200 TEACHERS YESTERDAY.

                      Lagos State Governor,Mr Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the employment of  1,200 primary school teachers in order to boost the manpower capacity in the State Primary education system.The Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education {SUBEB},Dr Ganiyu Oluremi Sopeyin,who disclosed this in his office today,said that the gesture was part of ongoing efforts of the current administration to improve the quality of education.He explained that successful candidates were selected from a transparent examination process of international standard in order to select the best candidates.While congratulation successful candidates who would be joining other teachers,the SUBEB boss urged them to reciprocate government's good gesture by putting in their best in the State Public Service.He said that the Service has a rewarding system which will compensate them for their hard work,dedication and honesty,hence the need for them to prove their mettle to be recognised.Successful candidates,who had earlier been sent SMS messages,were advised to collect their letter of employment from SUBEB office in Maryland.More photos below.
