  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. A MILITARY EQUIPMENT EXPLODED TODAY IN A WELDER SHOP AT DAMATURU,KILLING THE WELDER-MAN.

                  According to PM news,a welder was killed in his workshop today wednesday in Damaturu,Yobe state when an explosion went off.Three persons including an army officer were injured in the explosion.Investigation revealed that the explosion occurred when an army approached a welding shop to repair an equipment belonging to the military.The welder,it was gathered,brought out his equipment to state work and it exploded killing him instantly while the soldier was seriously wounded.More information later.
