 UN says 53 Congolese refugees have died in Burundi More than 50 refugees fleeing fighting in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo have died in neighbouring Burundi, the United Nations Refugee Agency told Reuters late on Friday. Of a total 53 deaths recorded, 25 people died due to a cholera outbreak, the agency said, while six others died from anemia and other complications related to malnutrition, it said. The U.N. said it was working with the health ministry and other partners to investigate the cause of the other deaths. More than 100,000 Congolese have sought refuge in Burundi since fighting near the border intensified in early December and rebels seized the town of Uvira, the UNHCR said. Jean Jacques Purusi, governor of South Kivu province where Uvira is located, described the situation in Burundi as "misery" and "a crisis completely forgotten by the international community and media." AWKA LADY SOLD INTO SLAVERY 400-YEARS AGO WAS FINALLY LED TO REST LAST WEEK THURSDAY.{PHOTOS}.

       It was the final burial of an Awka daughter identified as ''Adolika'' that was ruthlessly sold into slavery on Thursday 22 March 2018.
Incident which occurred about 400 yrs ago in Awka community and capital of Anambra state where a Nwa-okpu (daughter) was unjustly sold away into slavery and the entire family have not known peace and had been left to deal with reoccurring untimely deaths of the promising members of the family who are mostly young men ever since. The people the family looked up to for hope of survival and transition from poverty kept dying for no visible cause.On this occasion the entire family have come together to perform a spiritual cleansing which involves the accordance of a befitting burial rite to that gallant daughter whose spirit is purported to be behind the predicaments of her family members whom she must've sworn to wipe out and subject to generational curse as vengeance over their wickedness to her 4 centuries ago.
It was a massive celebration with a lot of merriments and people from all walks of life including religious leaders in attendance to witness a lost daughter get her due love back from the people who owed it to her.

A family member of the above diseased woman identified as Jerry Nwachukwu,reached out to me and told me that they had to do this burial because '' She was Sold by her inhuman guardian but she wiped d man's direct generation before she began dealing with her immediate family''. Chai this is serious.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
