 Sudan tells World Court UAE fuels Darfur genocide Sudan on Thursday told the International Court of Justice that the United Arab Emirates was violating the Genocide Convention by supporting paramilitary forces in Darfur and asked judges to issue emergency preventative orders, Reuters reported. Sudan's complaint to the Hague-based ICJ - known as the World Court - is in connection with intense ethnic-based attacks by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces and allied Arab militias against the non-Arab Masalit tribe in 2023 in West Darfur, documented in detail by Reuters. The UAE has repeatedly dismissed the filing of the case as a political game. "The genocide against the Masalit is being carried out by the Rapid Support Force, believed to be Arab from Darfur, with the support and complicity of the United Arab Emirates," Sudan's acting justice minister Muawia Osman, told the United Nations' top court. Women Storm Streets To Protest Incessant Killings In Southern Kaduna
      Following the incessant killings recorded in Kaduna state, hundreds of naked women from the Southern part of the state reportedly stormed the streets naked to protest the killings on Thursday, July 23.
The women wore black clothes in the protest and ended the protest at the palace of Atak Njei, Agwamatyap Palace (Sarkin Atyap palace) of Zangon Kataf local government area of Kaduna State.

It was also learned that the visibly angry and frustrated women who were naked wept profusely and lamented that the continued killings have taken away their breadwinners, parents, sisters, brothers, husbands, and children.The women added that the majority of them have become widows due to the killings.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
