 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision. Women Storm Streets To Protest Incessant Killings In Southern Kaduna
      Following the incessant killings recorded in Kaduna state, hundreds of naked women from the Southern part of the state reportedly stormed the streets naked to protest the killings on Thursday, July 23.
The women wore black clothes in the protest and ended the protest at the palace of Atak Njei, Agwamatyap Palace (Sarkin Atyap palace) of Zangon Kataf local government area of Kaduna State.

It was also learned that the visibly angry and frustrated women who were naked wept profusely and lamented that the continued killings have taken away their breadwinners, parents, sisters, brothers, husbands, and children.The women added that the majority of them have become widows due to the killings.More photos below.
