 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision.  DOGARA DECAMPS TO APC AGAIN, MEETS BUHARI
Immediate past Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Yakubu Dogara, has returned to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
In line with this, he met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja on Friday.He was led to the President’s office by the Chairman of APC Caretaker/National Planning Committee and Governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni, who briefed Buhari of the latest development in the ruling party.
The former Speaker did not speak when requested by State House correspondents, but Buni confirmed that he has become a member of the APC.
Recall that Dogara left the APC for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2018
