 I Don’t Wish It On You – Genevieve Nnaji Knocks Trolls Age-shaming Her Veteran Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji has responded to social media trolls who made age-shaming comments about her. According to Naija News, a user on X reacted to Genevieve's post on April 3, 2025, stating that she couldn't escape aging and was getting older. The comment read, “You really cannot cheat nature. My fine wine is finally growing old.” In her reply, Genevieve pointed out that things could be worse; she could age significantly and eventually die if she were fortunate. She wrote, “It gets worse, bro. I’ll get so old I’ll die. If I’m lucky.” Another troll referred to her as “mummy,” suggesting she was old, but Genevieve quickly dismissed the comment, saying she wouldn’t wish old age on him. LASG COMMISERATES WITH FAMILY OF LATE BISHOP OLUSOLA ORE.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

The Lagos State Government, on Friday, commiserated with the family of Late Bishop Olusola Ore, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on the demise of the Bishop.
The Honourable Commissioner for Home Affairs, Prince Anofiu Olanrewaju Elegushi, speaking during a condolence visit to the home of the Late Bishop, expressed condolence to the family on behalf of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Government.
According to him, “The State Government, through the State Ministry of Health, rendered all medical support to the late Bishop while he was ill but all efforts proved abortive. The Governor empathised with the family and the body of Christ in Nigeria, particularly the Lagos State CAN and PFN”.
Presenting a Letter of Condolence to the family and CAN on behalf of the State Government, Elegushi consoled the widow of the deceased to take solace in the fact that the late Bishop is in a better place and had touched so many lives with kindness during his stay on earth.
The immediate younger sister of the late Bishop, Mrs. Erinfolami, who responded on behalf of the family, thanked the representatives of the Lagos State Government for the visit as well as the kindness and benevolence of the present administration towards the family, promising to update the State Government on the burial arrangements as planning progresses.

Other members of the visiting team included the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Mrs. Adebunmi Elizabeth Adekanye; the Special Adviser to the Governor (Christian Religion), Reverend Bukola Adeleke; Executive Secretaries of both Christian and Muslim Boards, Mrs. Florence Yetunde Gbafe and Mr. Rahman Ishola respectively, among others.
The late Bishop Olusola Ore, who died on Monday, 26th October 2020, was the Chairman, Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (LSCPWB) and also the Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Lagos State Chapter.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
