 Military judge suppresses Khalid Sheikh Mohammed’s FBI confession in 9/11 case A military judge has excluded a confession that alleged Sept. 11 attacks mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed gave to FBI agents nearly 20 years ago, ruling that the statements were not made voluntarily. The decision is a setback for the U.S. government's long-running effort to prosecute Mohammed, who is accused of helping develop the plot to hijack planes and crash them into the World Trade Center and Pentagon. Mohammed remains detained at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, alongside other defendants awaiting trial. Lt. Col. Michael Schrama, the judge overseeing the case, scheduled a June 2028 trial for Mohammed and three other defendants earlier this week. In an order issued Friday that has not been made public, Schrama barred prosecutors from using statements Mohammed made during four days of FBI questioning at Guantanamo in January 2007. Portable Will Face 6-Count Charge — Force PRO

The Force Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has stated that controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has at least a six-count charge against him and he would appear at the court to clear his name.


Responding to a Twitter user who stated that the police were slow to act against MC Oluomo, who threatened some electorates during the 2023 elections, but swift to pick Portable up, the Force PRO in a tweet noted, “I am sure u are very awake as I have addressed MCs case, but portable has more than 6 count charges to attend to, apart from resisting arrest and injuring a policeman. He will be charged to court for beating up a guy in Otta, who fired a petition to CP Ogun.


“There are many pending cases of assaults on people and attacks, and he will be investigated bc pple have complained against him. So, there is no sentiment in law, let him appear in court, and allow the judge to listen to the charges against him. He has no constitutional immunity anyway. Ire o.” (sic)


Recall that Portable, earlier in the week, shared an Instagram Live video claiming that some police personnel stormed his bar at Sango Ota at the instance of an Internet fraudster (Yahoo Boy).


The video, which has since gone viral, sparked some outrage online, which prompted the Ogun State Police Command to invite the singer to their office. However, Portable refused to show up.


On Friday, the singer was picked up by policemen and is expected to spend the weekend in detention.
