In a shocking terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, more than 26 people were killed and several others injured on Tuesday afternoon. Most of the victims were tourists, including two foreigners and two locals. The terrorists opened fire at a popular meadow near the town, firing over 50 rounds at the crowd. This is the deadliest terror attack in the Valley since the 2019 Pulwama bombing. According to sources, the attack was planned by Pakistani-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and its shadow group, The Resistance Front (TRF), has claimed responsibility. Intelligence reports suggest that a reconnaissance (recce) of various tourist destinations, including hotels in Pahalgam, was carried out by terrorists from April 1 to 7.
