 I Don’t Wish It On You – Genevieve Nnaji Knocks Trolls Age-shaming Her Veteran Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji has responded to social media trolls who made age-shaming comments about her. According to Naija News, a user on X reacted to Genevieve's post on April 3, 2025, stating that she couldn't escape aging and was getting older. The comment read, “You really cannot cheat nature. My fine wine is finally growing old.” In her reply, Genevieve pointed out that things could be worse; she could age significantly and eventually die if she were fortunate. She wrote, “It gets worse, bro. I’ll get so old I’ll die. If I’m lucky.” Another troll referred to her as “mummy,” suggesting she was old, but Genevieve quickly dismissed the comment, saying she wouldn’t wish old age on him. Kogi guber: I survived four assassination attempts – Dino Melaye


Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Kogi State, on Thursday, claimed that he survived four assassination attempts in the state.


Melaye blamed the attempts on the All Progressives Congress, APC, stressing that violence is in the DNA of the party.


He disclosed this while featuring on Arise Television.


The former Kogi West Senator said tension has been part of the lives of the Kogi people since the APC came into power seven years ago.


According to Melaye: “I have survived four assassination attempts; I have had 12 court cases of FG vs. Dino Melaye, and I have been attacked severally. It is not new, as it is in the DNA of the APC to be violent.


“Kogi State is like an evil forest that needs instantaneous redevelopment and needs a messiah.”


The former senator said he hopes to be instrumental in ameliorating the pains of those living in the state.


He further said it has never been this bad in the history of Kogi, as the state is more divided than at any other time in its history.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
