 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. Nollywood Actor, Okweye Marries Traditionally in Anambra  

Nollywood Actor, Mr. Chukwunekwu Okweye popularly known as ‘Jack Neko’ has married his heartthrob, Miss Favour Obieze at Agulu, Anaocha Local Government of Anambra State.

According to Mr. Okweye, he met his wife while attending a friend’s church at Enugwu-Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State from where their love blossomed after about a year leading to their marriage.

His wife, Favour expressed happiness that the journey of love reached the climax today and prayed for a successful and fruitful marriage journey.

The Managing Director of ABS, Sir Chido Obidiegwu who highlighted the popular saying that “Love is blind”, advised the couple to be tolerant and always renew their marriage vows at all times.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
