 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026.  Father, Son Killed In Fresh Attack On Plateau Community


Two persons have been killed in an attack by gunmen on Durbi village of Shere District in Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State.


It was gathered that the attack occurred Saturday night, leading to the death of two villagers – a father and his son.


One of the attackers, it was learnt, also lost his life as the villagers came out to repel the attack.


A source said the corpses were being held by the villagers, including that of the attacker.


The incident was coming a few days after a series of attacks on communities in Bokkos and Barkin Ladi local government areas of the state claimed about 150 lives and left many others injured.


Reacting to the latest attack, the spokesperson of Operation Safe Haven, a multi security taskforce maintaining peace in the state, Captain James Oya, said the incident was a case of attempted kidnap of one Luka Kaze whose son was killed in the process.


Oya said when troops started coming for rescue operation, the abductors mistakenly shot one of their colleagues, adding that the gunman shot Kaze dead out of anger.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
