 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. To ease parking challenges, designated car parks have been arranged for public use, these include; the Yoruba Lawn Tennis Club Car Park, Zone 2 Car Park (opposite Island Club along King George V Road), Museum Kit...

POLICE NABS ONE-CHANCE ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS IN NASARAWA STATE. (PHOTOS).


 Police nabs one-chance armed robbery suspects in Nasarawa State.


Nasarawa State Police command says it has apprehended two suspects for allegedly operating a one-chance robbery gang in the state.


A statement signed by the Police Public Relation Officer DSP Ramhan Nansel, and made available to newsmen on in lafia,. explained that their operatives attached to Anguwan Lambu Division, Keffi, Keffi Local Government Area have arrested the suspects based on intelligence.


According to the statement said preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects usually posed as taxi drivers to pick unsuspecting passengers and drive away to unknown destinations.


It says they thereafter, dispossess their victims of money and other belongings and abandoned them while sometime kill them.


The PPRO said that the suspects have confessed to the commission of the crime and said they have been operating for over 10 years and robbed a lot of people. 


They suspects further said that they were recently released from Shendam custodian facility, Plateau State, for similar offence after serving their jail term.


He said that the police recovered a Toyota Carina II vehicle with registration number Abuja CO 212 ABC, one Axe and Hammer from the suspects as exhibits.


The police spokesperson further said that the suspects would be charge to court for prosecution after investigation.
