McDonald’s launches World Cup meal and collectible cups ahead of 2026 FIFA tournament kickoff McDonald’s is launching limited-time World Cup meals and collectibles ahead of the FIFA tournament kickoff on June 11, as excitement builds for the expanded 48-team competition co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The fast-food chain, returning as an official tournament sponsor, will roll out its World Cup-themed menu nationwide starting June 4. Customers can choose between a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal, both served with a special gold-packaged Big Mac Sauce. As part of the promotion, McDonald’s is also releasing collectible cups featuring nine global soccer stars and cultural icons. The lineup includes Christian Pulisic, David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Son Heung-Min, Lamine Yamal, Alphonso Davies, Santiago Gimenez, and the brand’s mascot Grimace.  Baba Fryo calls out Nasboi over alleged intellectual property theft


Veteran Nigerian musician, Baba Fryo has called out upcoming artiste, Nasboi, for allegedly stealing lyrics from his iconic hit, ‘Denge Pose’.


Voicing his frustration in now viral video on social media, Baba Fryo demanded proper credit and compensation for his work.


This comes after Nasboi released his new track ‘Short Skirt’.


Also Fryo warned Nasboi to reach out to him before he takes action.


Speaking in pidgin, he said, “Nigerians, I greet una. This thing don dey happen e don tey. And I was not happy with it. But now I want to take action.


“You see that song wey Naboi sings about ‘short skirt’. My lyrics ‘Dengo dey denge Denge’ are inside the verse. So, anybody wey know Naboi should tell him to reach out to me before water go pass geri.


“As you are looking at me, I’m not happy but this one must be the last time that anyone will use my song without telling me. You people should tell him to reach out to me before I take action.”
