 APC PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL PRESS STATEMENT ATIKU MUST EXPLAIN THE LEGAL AND FISCAL BASIS OF HIS PETROL SUBSIDY PROPOSAL At his press conference in Abuja on Friday, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar reiterated his proposed  “production subsidy” for locally refined petrol, which he said would reduce pump prices. He went further to ask President Bola Tinubu to slash the cost of diesel and petrol at the pump. That proposal raises important legal, fiscal and practical questions that he must answer. Section 205(1) of the Petroleum Industry Act 2021 provides that unrestricted free-market conditions shall determine wholesale and retail prices of petroleum products. The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, in a statement on Saturday, explained that it neither fixes pump prices nor issues administrative price templates, except where the statutory conditions for intervention are met.  Baba Fryo calls out Nasboi over alleged intellectual property theft


Veteran Nigerian musician, Baba Fryo has called out upcoming artiste, Nasboi, for allegedly stealing lyrics from his iconic hit, ‘Denge Pose’.


Voicing his frustration in now viral video on social media, Baba Fryo demanded proper credit and compensation for his work.


This comes after Nasboi released his new track ‘Short Skirt’.


Also Fryo warned Nasboi to reach out to him before he takes action.


Speaking in pidgin, he said, “Nigerians, I greet una. This thing don dey happen e don tey. And I was not happy with it. But now I want to take action.


“You see that song wey Naboi sings about ‘short skirt’. My lyrics ‘Dengo dey denge Denge’ are inside the verse. So, anybody wey know Naboi should tell him to reach out to me before water go pass geri.


“As you are looking at me, I’m not happy but this one must be the last time that anyone will use my song without telling me. You people should tell him to reach out to me before I take action.”
