 Umueri Crisis Claim: False, Election to Hold April 8 - Says Anambra East Mayor By Nwegbo Ifeanyi  The Anambra East LG Chairman, Hon. Ifeanyi Chinweze, has denied allegations of a leadership crisis in Umueri General Assembly, calling the statement from Ikenga Umueri Unity Forum " false and misleading. Addressing journalists, Chinweze said Umueri is peaceful, with town union elections scheduled for April 8, 2026. He claimed Ikenga Umueri Unity Forum, which issued the statement, is actually frustrating the election with selfish motives.  He distanced himself, PG Chief John Metchie, and electoral committee chairman Barr. Eugene Aghaebe from the allegations, saying they were innocent. The controversy arose after Chinweze insisted Ikenga should not hold key positions like, Secretary, and Vice President simultaneously since they have president general, considering Umueri's three quarters (Ezi, Ikenga, and Invite).  Baba Fryo calls out Nasboi over alleged intellectual property theft


Veteran Nigerian musician, Baba Fryo has called out upcoming artiste, Nasboi, for allegedly stealing lyrics from his iconic hit, ‘Denge Pose’.


Voicing his frustration in now viral video on social media, Baba Fryo demanded proper credit and compensation for his work.


This comes after Nasboi released his new track ‘Short Skirt’.


Also Fryo warned Nasboi to reach out to him before he takes action.


Speaking in pidgin, he said, “Nigerians, I greet una. This thing don dey happen e don tey. And I was not happy with it. But now I want to take action.


“You see that song wey Naboi sings about ‘short skirt’. My lyrics ‘Dengo dey denge Denge’ are inside the verse. So, anybody wey know Naboi should tell him to reach out to me before water go pass geri.


“As you are looking at me, I’m not happy but this one must be the last time that anyone will use my song without telling me. You people should tell him to reach out to me before I take action.”
