 SENATE PRESIDENT AKPABIO, LAWMAKERS LAUGH AS HE ANNOUNCES SENATOR NATASHA’S BIRTHDAY There was mild drama at the Senate plenary as Senate President Godswill Akpabio and several lawmakers burst into laughter while he announced the birthday of his colleague, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. The incident occurred during Tuesday’s session when Senator Akpabio formally notified the chamber that December 9 marked his birthday as well as that of Senator Natasha. In line with the Senate tradition, the President of the Senate is required to announce lawmakers’ birthdays so colleagues can offer congratulatory messages. However, the atmosphere changed the moment he mentioned Senator Natasha’s name. Akpabio and several senators erupted in laughter, drawing the attention of observers given the well-known political tension between both lawmakers.  Bill to Create Ogoja State from Cross River Passes Second Reading


The House of Representatives on Thursday passed a bill for the second reading, proposing an amendment to the 1999 Constitution to create a new state in Nigeria's South-South region, to be called Ogoja State.


Sponsored by Hon. Godwin Offiono and three others, the bill aims to establish Ogoja State from Cross River. After a voice vote, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas referred the bill to the committee on constitutional review for further consideration.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
