 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. AN 18-YEAR-OLD ARIZONA MAN CALLED POLICE TO REPORT HIS MOTHER HAF BEEN KIDNAPPED, THE TRUTH WAS FAR MORE HORRIFIC. (PHOTO).

 An 18-year-old Arizona man called police to report his mother had been kidnapped. 


The truth was far more horrific. 


Pinal County, Arizona deputies were called to a field on Skyline drive after a citizen made a grisly discovery. Once on scene, deputies found the body of 38-year-old Mary Collier. They also found a broken kitchen knife nearby that had obviously been used to take Mary's life.


Only 7 minutes after the initial 911 call 18-year-old Alan Ashcroft made a chilling 911 call from his home. In the call he told Police his mother had gone for a walk and "something really bad had occurred". He went on to explain unknown people had kidnapped his mother while walking.


Dispatchers asked to speak to someone else in the home and Alan's brother got on the line. He said that Alan and his mother had gone for a walk but only a bloody Alan had returned.


It didn't take long for deputies to consider Alan a suspect and they descended on his home to take him in for questioning. When they arrived Alan attempted to run away, however he was quickly apprehended. 


As deputies investigated the death they learned that Alan and his mother had been arguing for several days. On the morning of her death, the two had went for a walk to try to talk over their issues. Sadly it seems the walk with his mother was simply a pretext in order to take her life.


Authorities uncovered a journal in Alan's room where he seemed to be plotting his mother's death.


As the story emerged Alan admitted he had taken a knife from the kitchen to take his mother's life. While walking the two had sat on some hay bales to talk. While sitting, Mary saw the knife and asked Alan to give it to her. The two began to struggle for it and Alan headbutted his mother and pinned her down. He then used the knife on his mother's neck.


Alan Ashcroft has been charged with first-degree murder.


Our thoughts are with Mary and all of her loved ones.
