According to Drakeās legal team, Universal Music launched a deliberate campaign to influence streaming platforms and radio airplay rather than relying on organic fan demand.
āThey did not rely on chance,ā the lawsuit states, claiming the campaign targeted the songās visibility through various unlawful means.
Universal Music has denied the allegations, with a spokesperson calling the claims āoffensive and untrue.ā The spokesperson added that āfans choose the music they want to hear,ā rejecting the idea of artificial promotion.
The lawsuit adds another layer to the ongoing rivalry between the two artists, further intensifying the public feud.
