 Ondo State Governor Aiyedatiwa Unveils N400 Million Bursary and Scholarship Fund for 13,360 Students Akure, Ondo State - Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has officially flagged off the 2026 bursary, scholarship, and financial assistance programme, committing N400 million to support 13,360 students of Ondo State origin currently enrolled in tertiary institutions across Nigeria. The significant initiative, aimed at bolstering educational development, was launched on Tuesday at the Cocoa Conference Centre of the Governor’s Office in Akure, the state capital. Extensive Support Across Student Categories During the event, Governor Aiyedatiwa provided a detailed breakdown of the beneficiaries, highlighting the inclusive nature of the scheme. The programme will see 11,907 students receiving bursary awards, while 614 outstanding students have been granted scholarships. According to reports, the veteran actress has gotten a PhD in Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan


Taking to her Instagram page to confirm the news, Joke further revealed that she has been promoted to the position of Chief Arts Fellow. She stated that her promotion to a professional cadre was announced a day back and she is grateful to God for the new phase.
