 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  NSYC Corp Member Collapses and Dies in Kebbi


A National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Tayachibiyacha Ebal (Female), with the code KB/24C/918, serving in Dakingari, Kebbi State, has tragically passed away after collapsing.


Upon collapsing, she was rushed to the camp clinic at Dakingari and later transferred to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Birnin-Kebbi, where she unfortunately succumbed despite receiving medical attention.


In a statement, Comrade Nurudeen Bala Fingiller, spokesman for the Kebbi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, confirmed that the deceased's body had been sent to her family in Adamawa State.


Fingiller also expressed condolences on behalf of the NYSC and the Kebbi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, thanking the Governor of Kebbi State for his financial and logistical support in facilitating the burial arrangements.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
