   Rivers State Police Arrest 'Veryblackman' Over Alleged Death Threats to Comedian DeeOne The Rivers State Police Command has arrested the controversial social media personality widely known as "Veryblackman" (also identified as Veryblackman of Port Harcourt or VeryDarkMan’s brother) following allegations that he threatened the life of Nigerian comedian and reality television star, DeeOne. The suspect was taken into custody on Saturday after he reportedly ignored prior invitations from law enforcement. Following his arrest in Rivers State, he was immediately transferred to Lagos on Sunday to face further questioning and investigation. The Origin of the Threat The feud between the two online figures reached a boiling point in June 2026, when Veryblackman allegedly threatened to kill DeeOne.  Abia Government Suspends Chairman of Ariaria International Market Mr Michael Aniorji


The Ministry of Trade and Commerce hereby announces to the general public, especially traders and stakeholders of Ariaria International Market, Aba, that Mr. Michael Aniorji has been suspended from office as Chairman of Ariaria International Market with immediate effect.


Further directives, the Ministry has appointed Sir Hyacint Ositadinma Nnabude  as the acting chairman of Ariaria International Market to oversee all market affairs.


All unions, associations, and stakeholders are advised to cooperate fully with the acting chairman in the overall interest of the market and the State.


This directive takes effect immediately.
