Motorheads axed by Prime Video after one season, producers exploring new streaming home
‘Motorheads’ will not return to Amazon Prime Video after its first season, with producers now exploring other platforms for a potential second season.
The YA drama, created by John A. Norris (“All American”) and Jason Seagraves (“Hacksaw Ridge”), follows a group of outsiders in a struggling Rust Belt town who bond over their shared passion for cars. The show stars Ryan Phillipe as Logan, a former NASCAR mechanic trying to keep his auto body shop running in Ironwood, Pennsylvania, while contending with the shadow of his notorious brother, Christian Maddox.
Other cast members include Nathalie Kelley as Samantha, an ER nurse who moves back home with her children after leaving her New York City job; Michael Cimino as Zac, a young man navigating the legacy of his father’s street racing fame; and Melissa Collazo as Caitlyn, Zac’s mechanically gifted sister.
John A. Norris and Jason Seagraves served as executive producers, with Norris also acting as showrunner and writer. Additional executive producers included Jake Fuller for Jax Media, Dana Brunetti, and Keegan Rosenberger.
