 Texas woman charged with medical child abuse for falsifying toddler’s health and pushing unnecessary feeding tube surgeries A Texas woman has been charged with medical child abuse after allegedly falsifying her toddler’s medical history to pressure doctors into performing unnecessary procedures, including feeding tube surgeries, in what authorities are calling a “sickening” case. Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food. Covert surveillance confirmed the child was able to eat meals without difficulty, prompting authorities to stop tube feedings. PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES FORMER VICE PRESIDENT NAMADI SAMBO ON HIS TURBANING AS SARDAUNAN ZAZZAU

 

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu rejoices with the former Vice President Namadi Sambo on his turbaning as the Sardaunan Zazzau by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, on Saturday, October 11.

 

President Tinubu notes that the title of Sardaunan Zazzau—a position of great cultural and historical significance in Northern Nigeria—reflects the Emirate's confidence in the former Vice President's wisdom, integrity, and commitment to society's progress.

 

The President describes the honour as a recognition of Sambo's exemplary leadership and contributions to national development.

 

The President acknowledges Sambo's record of humility, statesmanship and dedication to humanity, noting that his well-deserved investiture as Sardaunan Zazzau further underscores his deep-rooted service to his community and the nation.

 

President Tinubu also commends the Emir of Zazzau for upholding the noble tradition of honouring individuals whose character, leadership, and patriotism embody the Emirate's values and reflect the spirit of unity, service, and integrity.

 

While wishing the former Vice President success in his new traditional role, President Tinubu urges him to continue inspiring and guiding the younger generation, and to work closely with traditional and community leaders to advance peace and development in the country.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
