 TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker. A 53 YEAR OLD WOMAN, MADAM MARIA, AND HER 28 YEAR OLD SON, ADEWALE, HAVE BEEN ARRESTED IN ILLE OLUJI OKEIGBO LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF ONDO STATE FOR ATTEMPTED MONEY RITUAL.(PHOTO).

A 53 year old woman, Madam Maria, and her 28 year old son, Adewale, have been arrested in Ille Oluji Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State for attempted money ritual.


According to reports, the mother and son planned to use an unsuspecting neighbour’s 10 year old son for the ritual.


They were said to be on their way to meet a herbalist with the innocent boy when the police intercepted them, following a tip off from concerned residents.


The child was rescued safely, while the suspects were taken into custody for further investigation.
