Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. POLICE IN UGANDA πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬ HAVE ARRESTED TWO WOMEN FOR KISSING IN PUBLIC.(PHOTO).

Police in Uganda πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬ have arrested two women for kissing in public.

The women have reportedly been held in custody since February 18 without legal representation under Uganda’s 2023 Anti-Homosexuality Act legislation that imposes severe penalties, ranging from life imprisonment to the death penalty in cases classified as “aggravated homosexuality.”

According to authorities, neighbors accused the pair of “practicing homosexuality” and claimed to have taken photographs as evidence. Police further stated that several women were observed visiting their residence.

However, reports indicate that a search of the home did not uncover any incriminating evidence. Investigations are said to be ongoing.

Human rights advocates have strongly condemned the arrests, arguing that the law is contributing to fear, blackmail, and extortion, particularly targeting members of the LGBTQ+ community.
