Zaria LG Education Advisory Committee Reconciles Stakeholders, Restores Weekend School Activities

The Zaria Local Government Advisory Committee on Education has successfully reconciled key stakeholders following a dispute over weekend programmes at Baba Ahmed LGEA Primary School, leading to the restoration of normal activities.

The reconciliation meeting, held on Monday at the Zaria Local Government Council Chamber, brought together representatives of the School-Based Management Committee (SBMC) of Baba Ahmed LGEA Primary School, the Muslim Special Training Centre (MPD), and Hidayatus Subyan Tahfeezul Qur’an.

The meeting was convened on the directive of the Executive Chairman of Zaria Local Government, Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad, after the SBMC issued a notice announcing the temporary suspension of weekend programmes conducted within the school premises.

During the meeting, stakeholders engaged in what the committee described as a constructive and fruitful dialogue.

Participants exchanged views and agreed on practical recommendations aimed at fostering mutual understanding, peaceful coexistence, and effective collaboration.

At the end of the deliberations, all parties unanimously resolved to put aside their differences and work collectively in the interest of peace, harmony, and educational development within Zaria Local Government.

The Advisory Committee on Education commended the maturity, patience, and cooperation displayed by all stakeholders throughout the reconciliation process.

The committee also expressed appreciation to Engr. Jamil Ahmad Muhammad for his timely intervention, leadership, and commitment to peace and educational progress in the local government area.
