Senate President Godswill Akpabio has appealed to the people of the South East to sustain peace and prevent their youth from engaging in armed struggle against the Federal Government. Akpabio made the plea on Saturday during the funeral of Sir Albert Ikechukwu Nnamani, former Administrative Secretary of the defunct Oil Mineral Producing Area Development Commission (OMPADEC), held in Ikem, Enugu State. In a statement made available to journalists in Abuja, Akpabio emphasised that development can only thrive in a peaceful atmosphere and urged Ndigbo to properly mentor the younger generation. “For Ndigbo, I want to plead with you to continue to maintain the peace and watch the youth of today.  JAMB Announces Mock UTME 2026 Slip Printing Now Available Ahead of March 28 Exam

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially opened the portal for candidates who registered for the 2026 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to print their examination slips.

The board made the announcement on Monday, March 23, 2026, via its verified X (formerly Twitter) handle, urging all registered mock candidates to act promptly.

“This is to inform all candidates that registered for mock examination that Mock UTME slip is now available for printing on our website at https://jamb.gov.ng, - Jamb stated

The board provided clear instructions: “On the website, select ‘2-Session 2026 MOCK SLIP PRINTING’; insert your registration number to print.”

The Mock UTME is scheduled to take place nationwide on Saturday, March 28, 2026. The exercise is designed as an optional practice session to help candidates familiarize themselves with the computer-based testing (CBT) environment, interface, timing, and general examination procedures before the main 2026 UTME, which runs from April 16 to April 25, 2026.

Only candidates who opted for and paid the additional fee for the mock examination during the 2026 UTME registration window are eligible to participate and print slips.

JAMB advised all concerned candidates to print their slips as early as possible to verify critical details, including their assigned examination date, centre location, time, and other instructions.

The board reiterated that participation in the mock is voluntary but highly recommended, especially for first-time UTME candidates or those new to the CBT format.

Candidates experiencing difficulties accessing or printing their slips are encouraged to contact JAMB support through official channels, including accredited CBT centres or the board’s helpdesk.
