GOVERNMENT OF RIVERS STATE   PRESS STATEMENT  MY DECISION TO WITHDRAW FROM THE RIVERS  STATE  GUBERNATORIAL PRIMARIES  Fellow Rivers People, After deep reflection and extensive consultations with my family, friends, and associates, I have taken the difficult but necessary decision to withdraw from the APC gubernatorial primaries. I do so with a full heart and with a firm commitment to support whoever emerges as the candidate of our great party. Leadership is ultimately about sacrifice. There comes a time when personal ambition must yield to the greater good of the people. Rivers State is bigger than any individual, and at this critical moment, the peace, stability, and unity of our dear state must take precedence over every personal interest. MICHELLE OBAMA BLUNTLY DESCRIBES THE 'NEW VERSION' OF AMERICA WITH A 5-LETTER WORD. (PHOTO).

Michelle Obama bluntly describes the 'new version' of America with a 5-letter word

Michelle Obama reflected on the current state of the United States during a conversation with comedian Hasan Minhaj on her show IMO with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson.

She described the nation as being in a “janky” era, but emphasized that each phase of the country’s evolution contributes to growth.

Obama explained that new versions of America don’t erase the old ones, but instead offer opportunities to learn and adapt. Minhaj agreed, humorously adding that things are “super jank” right now.

Despite acknowledging challenges, Obama struck an optimistic tone, pointing to examples of communities standing together in difficult times.

She highlighted Minnesota as a powerful reminder of what people can accomplish when they unite to protect one another.

According to her, moments of struggle reveal the strength of collective action, something that isn’t always visible when circumstances are smoother. She suggested that adversity can sharpen the nation’s ability to confront its truths.

Obama concluded by noting that the U.S. hasn’t been this “janky” in a long time, and that the country’s “muscle” for understanding itself had grown lax.

Still, she expressed confidence that Americans can rebuild that strength and emerge stronger.

Her comments framed the current turbulence not as permanent decline but as part of a cycle of renewal, underscoring her belief in resilience and growth through hardship.
