 PRESS BRIEFING BY THE POLICE PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER, ON BEHALF OF THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE EDO STATE COMMAND Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Press.  It is with great pleasure that the Command wishes to inform the general public of its latest achievement over the immediate past week arising from ongoing intelligence- led operations: Within the past week, the command have arrested a total of 10 suspects for violent crimes, neutralized 1 suspected kidnapper, recovered 1 AK 47 Rifle, 10 7.62 mm live ammunitions, 1 barrette pistol with 14 live ammunition. 1. ARREST OF SUSPECT IN ABDUCTION AND SEXUAL ABUSE OF FIVE FEMALE CHILDREN. On 12th September 2026, the Command received information on the alleged abduction of five female children from the ibillo/ Imoga axis of Akoko - Edo LGA.  ALMAJIRI/ OUT-OF-SCHOOL CHILDREN EDUCATION: STAKEHOLDERS SEEK SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS IN BORNO STATE


The Office of the Special Adviser to the Minister of Education on Almajiri and Out-of-School Children’s Education, in collaboration with the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education, NCAOOSCE, has convened a stakeholder engagement in Borno State to seek sustainable solutions to the challenges of Almajiri and out-of-school children.


The engagement brought together government officials, education stakeholders, traditional and religious leaders, community representatives and other partners to deliberate on strategies to improve access to quality education for vulnerable children across the state.


Discussions focused on identifying factors responsible for children being out of school, strengthening existing interventions and developing collaborative approaches to support the reintegration of affected children into the formal education system.


The stakeholders emphasized the need for collective action, improved coordination and sustained commitment to address barriers limiting educational opportunities for Almajiri and other out-of-school children.


The engagement is part of ongoing efforts by education authorities and partners to reduce the number of out-of-school children and promote inclusive education in Borno State and Nigeria at large.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
