A car filled with fireworks exploded during an illegal religious parade in central Mexico, killing a teenage boy and injuring at least a dozen more, terrifying video captured. Locals were participating in a procession Thursday in the city of Cuautitlán Izcalli — 21 miles from Mexico City — as part of an annual patron saint festival honoring San Francisco de Asis. Adults and children are seen celebrating as confetti hovers in the air when the pyrotechnics loaded into the vehicle catch fire, the video shows. Bystanders then turn toward the vehicle when the blast suddenly goes off. The person filming is knocked off their feet, while a person is seen sobbing nearby, according to the horrifying video.  Netflix announces new Sesame Street movie as long-running children’s show continues

“Sesame Street” is heading to the big screen with a new movie in development at Netflix.

The streaming service announced Thursday that it is developing the film in partnership with Rideback and Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization behind the long-running children’s series.

The announcement comes as Netflix renews its agreement with Sesame Workshop for Season 62 of “Sesame Street.” Additional episodes from Season 57 are scheduled to arrive on Netflix in late November.

The movie is part of Netflix’s broader effort to expand its preschool programming with new series, films and games featuring familiar characters and educational content.

“Sesame Street” first premiered on Nov. 10, 1969, and features Jim Henson’s Muppets. The educational series has become one of the longest-running television programs in American history.

In May 2025, new episodes of “Sesame Street” moved to Netflix after Warner Bros. Discovery declined to renew its agreement for additional episodes.

Under the new arrangement, Netflix carries new and library episodes of the series worldwide, while new episodes continue to be released on PBS stations and PBS Kids platforms in the United States.

The upcoming film will mark another expansion of the “Sesame Street” franchise, which has entertained and educated generations of children for more than five decades.
