 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026.      The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested one Idorenyin Essien,35, who burnt his son to death over alleged theft.
Recall that Mr Essien doused his son Abadiofon with kerosene and set him ablaze at Afia Nsit community in the Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom.
The spokesman of the command, DSP. Mac-Don Achibe, who confirmed the development while speaking with newsmen in Eket on Tuesday, said that the incident, which occurred on Aug. 29, was reported to the police by Essien’s neighbours.
Achibe said the case would be charged to court after the police investigation.
Essien burnt his son to death with claims that he stole N500 from their landord’s house to buy food. According to reports, Essien sent the minor to buy kerosene, which the son did. He tied the boy with a rope, doused him with the kerosene and set him ablaze. The boy was rushed to hospital but later died.One more photo below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
