 OPERATION HADIN KAI TROOPS FOIL MASS ABDUCTION, RESCUE OVER 150 CIVILIANS AHEAD OF EASTER PERIOD Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have once again demonstrated operational dominance and unwavering commitment to the protection of civilians by foiling a planned mass abduction by Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists in Sector 2. The incident occurred at about 1450 hours on 30 March 2026, when troops under Sector 2 deployed at Dutse Kura came under attack while escorting civilians along the Buratai–Kamuya axis. While decisively engaging the terrorists, surveillance assets identified the insurgents attempting to abduct a large number of civilians including men, women and children using about 17 vehicles into the bush.  In a swift and coordinated response, the Quick Response Force reinforced the location, repelled the attack and launched a pursuit towards the Mangari area, forcing the terrorists to abandon all abducted civilians and vehicles.  MINING MARSHAL VOWS TO REDUCE ECONOMIC LOSS AS COMMANDER BAGS AWARDS .


The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi , PhD., mni, OFR has effectively made tenacious efforts to restore the mining industry, eliminate the dastardly activities of  illegal miners, environmental degradation and pollution, stop the abuse of human dignity and reduce economic loss amidst other menace since the formidable establishment of the Mining Marshal specifically saddled with the operational sagacity to carry out the horrendous task for the nation .


In line with the vision of the Federal Government of Nigeria ( FGN ) to diversify the nation's economy away from solely generating its largest income from the oil economy, the Mining Marshal was created to adequately restore sanity and yield fiscal economic progress to the mining industry through the Ministry of Steel and Solid Minerals of the nation.


It is undoubtedly obvious that the Mining Marshal under the exemplary leadership of its sagacious and courageous Commander, Assistant Commandant of Corps John Onoja Attah has largely led our nation, Nigeria out of the many ugly conundrum traceable to the mining sites and the formerly highly untapped industry of the nation.


It was in the light of the above that the Commander of the Mining Marshal, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), ACC John Onoja Attah was officially invited to bag Two ( 2 ) historic and significant Awards; Man of the year and Exemplary Leadership Awards at the Rainbow Hall of Fame Award ( RAHFA ) 2026 Season 12 held at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( LCCI ) in Alausa - Ikeja, Lagos State , today, Saturday, 28th March, 2026.


The Awards were presented by Barrister Morufu Ajani Animashaun Esq to ACC John Onoja Attah who was ably represented by Superintendent of Corps Oluwaseun Abolurin, Public Relations Officer, NSCDC, Lagos State Command at the event today.


The Organizer of the Award, who is also the Chief Executive Officer / Publisher of Rainbow Global Events and Magazine , Mr Niyi Johnson Omogbenigun while delivering his welcome address credited his team's tenacity and successes to the inspiration drawn from God and the support got from hardworking, talented and courageous Nigerians on daily bases and some of whom are also awardees today.

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
