 DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE POLICE ARREST TWO SUSPECTED CRIMINALS, RECOVER TWO BERETTA PISTOLS, NINE ROUNDS OF LIVE AMMUNITION, SUSPECTED COCAINE, AND MERCEDES-BENZ SUV The Delta State Police Command has recorded another significant operational success with the arrest of two suspected criminals and the recovery of firearms, live ammunition, suspected cocaine, and other incriminating exhibits during a stop-and-search operation carried out by operatives of the Safer Highway Patrol along the Agbarho–Warri Road on 25 July 2026. The suspects, Omini Ezeri (46) and Chinedum Wagbara (42), both residents of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, were intercepted while travelling in a grey Mercedes-Benz ML SUV with registration number AAA 604 JZ. During preliminary interrogation, a third occupant of the vehicle, God Knows Ifreke, suddenly took to his heels and escaped into a nearby swamp.  EFCC Secures Interim Forfeiture of Town Tavern Lounge, Four-Bedroom Bungalow in Ado-Ekiti


The Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the EFCC, has secured the interim forfeiture of a lounge and a four-bedroom bungalow located in Ado-Ekiti. Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court, sitting in Ilorin, while granting the application, held that the Commission had fulfilled all the necessary legal requirements. The interim forfeited properties are: Town Tavern Lounge located at No. 1, Ikere Road, off Florence Court School, Ado-Ekiti, and a four-bedroom bungalow located along Florence Court, Irewolede Estate, Ado-Ekiti. The properties were said to belong to Olorunbukunmi Taiwo, 43, who allegedly defrauded one Lady Anazia Colina Kenechukwu of the sum of N1,980,000,000 (One Billion, Nine Hundred and Eighty Million Naira only).Visit www.efcc.efcc.gov.ng for more stories.
