  Cops crash massive LA street takeover, towing 100 cars and detaining hundreds Cops sprung a massive sting on alleged street-racing hooligans in South Los Angeles early Saturday — reportedly detaining hundreds and preparing to haul away scores of vehicles. The Los Angeles Police Department told The California Post that officers issued a tactical alert at 3:21 a.m. and were still working the scene hours later, as of 9 a.m. No details were immediately available on arrests or citations from the LAPD. Video from the scene showed dozens of officers surrounding a massive crowd as people wandered between cars trapped at the intersection of South Figueroa Street and West Alondra Boulevard. Tow trucks stood by, ready to pounce.  EFCC Secures Interim Forfeiture of Town Tavern Lounge, Four-Bedroom Bungalow in Ado-Ekiti


The Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the EFCC, has secured the interim forfeiture of a lounge and a four-bedroom bungalow located in Ado-Ekiti. Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court, sitting in Ilorin, while granting the application, held that the Commission had fulfilled all the necessary legal requirements. The interim forfeited properties are: Town Tavern Lounge located at No. 1, Ikere Road, off Florence Court School, Ado-Ekiti, and a four-bedroom bungalow located along Florence Court, Irewolede Estate, Ado-Ekiti. The properties were said to belong to Olorunbukunmi Taiwo, 43, who allegedly defrauded one Lady Anazia Colina Kenechukwu of the sum of N1,980,000,000 (One Billion, Nine Hundred and Eighty Million Naira only).Visit www.efcc.efcc.gov.ng for more stories.
