 Former Kennedy Center employees allege leadership delayed roof repairs before citing safety issues in closure decision Former Kennedy Center employees allege that the venue’s leadership knew about serious structural problems well before citing newly discovered hazards as the reason for its abrupt closure this month. The claims were outlined in a letter to Congress from a lawyer representing anonymous whistleblowers. The letter accuses the center’s executive director and chief operating officer, Matt Floca, of failing to prioritize roof repairs and stopping a funded repair plan in April. Floca disputes the allegations, saying recent inspections revealed that water damage had spread farther into the building than officials previously knew. In a September court declaration, Floca cited “acute risks to public safety” following an inspection that found deterioration in a roof terrace canopy and a partial ceiling collapse. ‎The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has approved the appointment of Dr. Chizoba Prisca Ezeasor as the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency (ASPHCDA). The appointment was announced in a press release issued on July 28, by the Governor's Chief Press Secretary.

‎The announcement also included the appointment of three other seasoned professionals to head strategic state parastatals. They are Dr. Nelson Omenugha, appointed Special Adviser on Youth Reformation; Hon. Chike Anyaonu, appointed Managing Director of the Anambra State Housing Development Corporation; and Mr. Chris Osemedua Molokwu, appointed Managing Director of the Anambra Broadcasting Corporation (ABS).

‎According to the statement, the appointments take immediate effect. Governor Soludo charged the newly appointed officials to deploy their wealth of experience and expertise in advancing the development of the state while demonstrating the highest standards of professionalism, dedication, integrity, and commitment in the discharge of their responsibilities.

‎The appointment of Dr. Ezeasor as Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of ASPHCDA reflects the Soludo administration's continued commitment to strengthening primary healthcare delivery through capable and experienced leadership.

‎The ministry congratulated Dr. Ezeasor  on her appointment and wished her a successful and impactful tenure in advancing quality primary healthcare services across Anambra State.
