 TEAM LAGOS EMERGES TOP AT 23RD NATIONAL SPORTS FESTIVAL SOUTH WEST ELIMINATION Lagos State athletes proved their dominance in the South West by edging out regional competitors and emerging top in the five team events contested at the elimination series qualifier for the 23rd National Sports Festival later this year in Enugu. The elimination series featured team events in volleyball, basketball, football, beach volleyball, and cricket in male and female categories. While the team clinched only the female football ticket by topping their group, they showed dominance in three other sports by winning both the male and female tickets. Team Lagos took first position in the volleyball male and female categories. The male team defeated their counterparts from Ondo in the finals by 25-18, 24-26, 25-20, and 25-20, while the female team defeated Team Oyo by 25-18, 22-25, 28-26, 16-25, and 15-8. Anambra State Gobernor, Chief Willie Obiano has congratulated ASP Henry Okolo who was recently confirmed as two star Assistant Superintendent of Police. Assisted by Secretary to the State Government Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, ASP Okolo was decorated at the Exco Chambers, Government House, Awka. Indigenous to Awka, ASP Okolo Henry was born in the year 1992 into the Family of Late Mr Sunday Okolo of Okeke-Igbo sub-family in Umuegbe Kindred of Umuokpu village, Awka. He obtained his BSc in Phycology from POLAC, Wudil, Kano State. He's currently the Commander Governor's Lodge Amawbia, Awka. He was earlier today 1st February 2022 decorated with 2 star ASP by the Governor of Anambra State Chief Willie Obiano and the Secretary to the State Government Professor Solo Chukwulobelu in the excos chambers, Government House, Awka. Anambra Police Command Decorates 83 Newly Promoted Officers Eighty three newly-promoted police officers from the Anambra State Command of the Nigeria Police Force have been decorated with insignias of their new ranks by the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Echeng Echeng. The decoration which took place at the Force Command, Awka on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, follows the recent approval for promotion of officers of the force, by the Police Service Commission. Among the newly-promoted police officers were one Superintendent of Police who was promoted to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police, Fifteen Deputy Superintendent of Police elevated to the rank of Superintendent of Police and Sixty Seven Assistant Superintendent of Police 2 promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Police 1. ANAMBRA HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY HALTS CONVERSION OF PTA-TEACHERS TO PERMANENT STAFF.(PHOTOS).

Anambra State House of Assembly has directed the Ministry of Basic Education to suspend conversion of teachers engaged by Parents Teachers Association pending the conclusion of investigation on alleged non - compliance to due process by the House.  The House also invited the Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha to appear before it on Thursday this week.  The resolutions were sequel to a motion of urgent public importance sponsored to that effect by the Chairman, House Committee on Basic Education, Sir Ejike Okechukwu during plenary.  The lawmaker informed the House that he received complaints from many of the PTA-teachers being converted to permanent staff that the exercise did not follow due process.  Speaker of the House, Right Honourable Uche Okafor assured that the House will work hard to address the issue and read out the resolution to the House, while the lawmakers supported it through a voice vote.  Also at plenary, the House sympath...

KDSG and PricewaterhouseCoopers have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the implementation of the State Integrated Financial Management System (SIFMIS).  The MoU highlights the commitment of KDSG to improve the State Integrated Financial Management Information System by engaging PWC to carry out Navision intervention. The Nigeria Police Force has invited Instagram cleric, Prophet Adelana Adekunle Solomon, popularly known as Oba Solomon, for questioning. “The office is investigating a matter reported to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan Lagos,” part of the invitation letter read. “In order to facilitate investigation, you are requested to report to the office in-charge of Zonal Complaint Response Unit, CSP Olukode Taofiki with GSM No. 08063250810 on 2nd February, 2022 by 1000hrs.” “If I am a true Prophet of God, Tinubu will not become the President of Nigeria and he becomes the President, he will not spend 4 years before he will die,” the cleric had said in the video.
