 A Chester, Illinois man was recently arrested and charged for crimes against  at least one minor. When his mugshot was shared, with the charges included, several other young ladies came forward and told their stories.  Joshua Addison, 37-years-old, was arrested and charged on September 25th for incidents that happened approximately May, 13th of this year. He is currently in the Randolph County Jail.  When the news broke, several (at least 6) females shared screenshots and stories alleging Addison had sent them inappropriate messages. One individual shared a screenshot exhibiting that she confronted Addison and reminded him they were cousins. In that same exchange, the young lady asked if Addison knew her age. Japa: UK stops Nigerian students, others from bringing dependants The Home Office of the United Kingdom on Monday announced that it had commenced the implementation of its policy banning Nigerian students and other overseas students from bringing in dependants via the study visa route. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Home Office reiterated that only those on postgraduate research or government-sponsored scholarship students will be exempted from the development. “We are fully committed to seeing a decisive cut in migration. From today, new overseas students will no longer be able to bring family members to the UK. Postgraduate research or government-funded scholarships students will be exempt,” the Home Office said. The PUNCH reports that in May 2023, the United Kingdom put in place a law to stop Nigerian students, and others studying in the UK from bringing family as dependents except under specific circumstances. Hoodlums kill Lagos police officer in Adamawa A Mobile Police officer attached to the 43 PMF of the Lagos State Police Command has been murdered on New Year’s Day in Adamawa State. PUNCH Metro exclusively gathered that the officer, identified as Inspector Richard Felix, was attacked at Sangamu Hotel, Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa by some men at about 12:10 a.m. on Monday. The police in Jambutu were said to have raced to the scene of the incident, where the 46-year-old policeman was discovered with severe injuries on his chest, our correspondent reliably gathered. Police release name of teenager stabbed to death in London Detectives have given the name of a teenage boy who died after being stabbed in Camden, North London on New Year’s Eve, as Harry Pitman. Pitman, 16 was reportedly attacked on Primrose Hill at around 23:40hrs on Sunday, 31 December. The Metropolitan Police said the boy’s family was being supported by officers. A release from the police said officers provided first aid to the 16-year-old before paramedics arrived and that despite the efforts of emergency services, he died at the scene shortly before midnight. The police said a 16-year-old boy was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder, saying he remained in custody at a north London police station. The investigation is being led by detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command and officers have carried out extensive enquiries at the scene throughout the day. The lawmakers-elect, through their counsel, Sunday Obende, said they wrote, pursuant to Section 94 of the Nigerian Constitution and Order 3 Rule 3 of the Standing Order of the Plateau State House of Assembly, 2021. The new members were issued with their certificates of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on December 24 after the election tribunal and Court of Appeal sacked 16 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who subsequently elected the sole members of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), as the new speaker. Mohbad's father set to drop tribute song for late singer Mr Joseph Aloba, the father of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, is set to put out an album as a tribute to his son. Mohbad, an ex-Marlian Records signee, died on September 12 and was laid to rest in Ikorodu the following day amidst heart-wrenching scenes of mourning from family, friends, and supporters. But on September 21, the police exhumed Mohbad’s corpse for autopsy and are awaiting the results. This was due to the controversy surrounding his death. In a now-viral flier, Aloba said the album titled ‘Itunu’ is a tribute to the late singer. Latsoul Films International produces the project. Submission in marriage doesn’t translate to surrendering, says ID Cabasa Famous music producer and singer, Olumide Ogunade, popularly known as ID Cabasa has shared an insight regarding the school called marriage. Cabasa in an interview with Debbie Shokoya on her YouTube channel, revealed that irrespective of how one tries to walk in perfection, there can’t be a perfect marriage. He advised intending couples to get perfection out of their mind when looking for a partner as there is no perfect marriage.
