NAF INTENSIFIES AIRPOWER CAMPAIGN, STRENGTHENS AIR PRESENCE IN SOKOTO TO DENY TERRORISTS FREEDOM OF ACTION The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its airpower campaign against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities across the North-West, with a strengthened air presence in Sokoto State to support ongoing joint security operations. The initiative reflects the Service’s determination to sustain pressure on hostile elements, enhance aerial surveillance and maintain the capacity for rapid response to emerging threats, while providing effective air support to ground forces operating within the Joint Operations Area. The strengthened air presence is particularly significant in the fight against asymmetric threats, where terrorists and bandits exploit difficult terrain, mobility and concealment to evade ground forces. 32 year old Jack Sankary from Lebanon was arrested in Ondo state capital for having carnal knowledge of under-aged girls in Akure.he was arrested by detctives.Chinwe Chinasa,was arrested for allegedly trafficking six young girls to libya for prostitution,she was arrested at olufoam area of Federal Housing Estate Shagari village in Akure.it was discovered that 6 young girls had been prepared for the journey to libya.part of the preparation includes shaving of their hairs and cutting of their nails.some of the girls confirmed that the suspect deceived their parents that she was going to help them look for jobs and not prostitution.Patience Godwin,is currently undergoing interrogation at the state CID.she was arrested at her hid out in Odopetu area of Akure metropolis and a 14 year old girl about to be taken to the Lebanese,was rescued.
